Cold is where you end up when you decide to stop being real, and start being yourself. Cold is where you end up when you leave the fuzzy comfort of your caring psychoanalytic community and start believing in your own inner freak. The real life road is a serious challenge full of pitfalls and hurt feelings. But along the way, thousands of people actually become themselves instead of pretending to already be there telling other people what they look like while they are 'fucking all the good shit up'.

Fucking up is a necessary and essential part of finding oneself, and COLD embraces this with a near suicidal, wreckless abandon. Come home agent. You have been recalled for DEBRIEF. You can resume being yourself soon.

History

We're loosely inspired by Burning Man. We're a regular catastrophe at the Texas regional event outside of Austin, Burning Flipside. We somehow camped on the Esplanade in Black Rock City in 2006.

Each year we try to do something a little different, but we tend toward the themes of political and/or bureaucratic satire. More often than not, idiocy takes over completely and makes us the most surreal manifestation of chaos present at the event.
